Experienced Arable / root veg operator

R L Long Farms Ltd is offering a career development opportunity to live and work in the heart of Suffolk apart of a modern, progressive and family managed Estate. We are a 2000 hectare agribusiness growing potatoes, onions and combinable crops across Suffolk. We are looking for a hard working and flexible person to join the team as an experienced arable operator. The right person will have proven experience and be able to take on responsibilities. An enthusiastic and problem-solving attitude is essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team.

    • Operating modern machinery using GPS

    • Precision Drilling

    • Relief Spraying (Horsch) and Spreading (Bredal)

    • Topping and Windowing Onions

    • Cultivations and other field work

    • Irrigation

    • Harvesting and carting of all crops

    • Machinery Maintenance

2025 Harvest operator

We are looking for a hard working and flexible person to join the team for Harvest as a tractor driver. We are a large agribusiness growing potatoes, onions and combinable crops across a large area of Suffolk.

    • Duties will be varied, including carting of all crops, irrigation and assisting will all other general farm work that is required.

    • We are looking for applicants with a full driving licence

    • Team player and ability to work with others.

    • During the height of the season, you will need to be adaptable and flexible with regards to your working hours to include weekends

    • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are important as additional training can be given to the right candidate.
