Andrew Long

Chairman, Partner & Director

Providing strategic oversight and industry leadership, business development with all farm diversity

  • Andrew Long is a third-generation farmer and Chairman of Long Farms, leading the family farming business with decades of experience, deep-rooted knowledge, and a commitment to excellence. 

    As the head of RL & JP Long and RL Long Ltd, playing a pivotal role in the farms growth, diversification, and modernisation, ensuring that Long Farms continues to thrive in an evolving agricultural landscape.

    Andrew firmly believes that a successful farm is built on its people. 

    In addition to his responsibilities at Long Farms, Andrew sits on the commercial board of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, contributing his extensive knowledge to the wider agricultural industry. He remains dedicated to promoting excellence in British farming, ensuring that Long Farms continues to innovate and grow while upholding the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Gina Long MBE

Partner & Director

Strategic planning, business development with all farm diversity

  • Gina Long MBE is a highly respected businesswoman, philanthropist, and farm partner and director of Long Farms and Fornham Business Court.

    Passionate about Long Farms heritage, farm branding and aesthetic landscape, always thinking ‘outside the box’ when it comes to farming diversification, helping to develop and expand new business opportunities that strengthen the farm’s future. 

    Gina, specialises in bespoke property development, overseeing key projects that complement the growth and sustainability of their businesses and farm diversity. With an exceptional career spanning entrepreneurship, communications, PR and media, along with her endless years of voluntary charity fundraising, having raised over £7,000,000 so far and counting, she continues to be a passionate mentor for many charities.  As Patron and Ambassador for causes close to her heart, she brings a unique perspective and dynamic leadership to the family’s multi-generational farming companies.

    As Long Farms continues to innovate and grow, Gina’s guidance and support ensures their businesses remain resilient, progressive, committed to excellence, while staying true to the values of integrity, sustainability, and community, with a strong legacy for generations to come.

Paul Francis

Managing Director

Directing business activities, sales, procurement, along with planning financial strategies for current and future business growth

  • Paul Francis is the Managing Director leading Long Farms, bringing over 18 years of experience in the fresh produce sector to the business. A highly skilled and motivated agricultural leader, he has a proven track record in farm business management, crop production, and strategic development. His expertise ensures Long Farms continues to thrive, embracing innovation, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

     Originally from the Midlands, Paul graduated from Harper Adams University in 2003 with a degree in Agriculture. His career has taken him across a diverse range of soils and farming systems in Shropshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, and Suffolk, giving him a deep understanding of different growing conditions and farm management practices. This broad experience has shaped his practical yet forward-thinking approach to modern farming.  

    Paul is extremely proud of Long Farms’ strong reputation for growing exceptional crops. He cares deeply about developing people, fostering collaboration, and creating a positive working environment, ensuring that everyone at Long Farms is supported, engaged, and able to thrive. His leadership in business management is key to the farm’s continued success, ensuring they uphold and build upon a strong compliant legacy. 

    Beyond his professional role, Paul is a devoted family man. He is married to Andrea and a father of four, balancing his leadership at Long Farms with a strong dedication to family life. His values of hard work, integrity, and commitment are reflected both in his business approach and in his personal life.

Charles Long

Partner & Operations Director

Overseeing operations, logistics, ensuring efficiency across all farming activities, day-to-day proactively managing and leading the teams

  • Charles Long is a fourth-generation farmer with a lifelong passion for agriculture. Born and raised in Suffolk, he has built a career that blends hands-on experience with a strong academic foundation.

    Graduating from Bishop Burton College, earning a BSc in Agricultural Resource Management, Charles expanded his expertise by working in Australia and New Zealand. His international experience has given him valuable insight into large-scale farming operations and innovative techniques.

    On returning to the UK, Charles joined Sentry’s Management Trainee Programme, gaining in-depth experience in professional farm management. Later became an Assistant Manager, a large vegetable farm in East Suffolk, where he refined his expertise in high-value crop production.

    Charles recognises that the success of Long Farms is built on its dedicated farming team. Overseeing operations, logistics, ensuring efficiency across all farming activities, day-to-day proactively managing and leading the teams. He is committed to fostering a strong team ethos, ensuring that every member of the workforce feels valued, supported, and engaged. At the heart of Long Farms is a deep-rooted commitment to well-being, safety, and professional development, creating an environment where people can thrive and perform at their best.

    Charles is married to Francesca and beyond farming, he has a strong passion for sports, reflecting his competitive nature, resilience, and dedication—qualities that also drive his success in agriculture and business leadership.
